NYPD Officers Chase Escaped Guinea Fowl on Brooklyn Street
It may have seemed like a “wild goose chase” to onlookers, but police officers in Brooklyn, New York, did eventually capture a guinea fowl wandering around the borough’s Clinton Hill neighborhood on Thursday, July 25. According to the New York Police Department ( NYPD ), the bird was a pet that had escaped a resident’s apartment. It was later returned to its owner, police said. Brendan James caught this footage of officers chasing the guinea fowl and said it took several hours to catch the bird. Another guinea fowl incident occurred in Brooklyn on July 2. Local media reported that a bird was milling around a BP gas station in Crown Heights until police captured it. Credit: Brendan James via Storyful
